Thank you for your interest in joining The Rothenberger’s here at Merrymead Farm.

We are accepting applications for part-time Fall positions.

Most of these positions involve being on your feet for an extended period of time.

Here are some of the amazing things you can elect to do here at Merrymead!  If considering applying, all applicants & Volunteers must be 16 yrs & older.

If your organization is looking to raise funds, we are in need of extra helping hands here at Merrymead. Donations are made to your organization per man-hour worked. Fill out the section  in our application for Volunteering.

Apple Cider Donut Production:  Team Members will need to be able to lift 50 pounds or more of product and walk/stand on their feet
for long periods of time. Team Members are required to fill apple cider jugs, restock retail locations with cider donuts, potential product prep for the bakery and keeping the area sanitary.

Attractions Helper: Assist guests on and off activities such the pumpkin pad, barrel train, corn bin.  Team Members are responsible for overseeing the safety and organization of guests waiting in line and disembarking from all attractions.

Birthday Party Attendant: Organize birthday parties, help with set up and clean up,  and assist parents. Team Member will be required to be able to walk to different areas of the farm.

Clean Team: These team members will maintain the most important role during our season! They will be responsible for general cleaning of the farm and some of its facilities. Team members will need to be very open minded about what the day to day responsibilities of the Clean Team consists of. Cleaning and stocking restrooms, cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment all around the farm, and having the ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds are crucial in this position to change trash cans.

Corn Maze Attendant: These attendants need to be well-versed on the direction of the maze. They will assist guests in the maze as needed, keep the maze clean and have safety as a priority.

Food Service BBQ / Fryer: Team Members must be 16 years or older. Team Member will be trained in the use of our BBQ procedures and frying of fries, chicken strips and hamburgers.  Position does require lifting of 50+ pound supplies and being able to withstand working around high heat equipment.

Food Service Cashier: These areas have Team Members that will serve as cashiers and will be responsible for taking orders accurately and efficiently as well as runners filling orders.

Food Service Prep / Attendant:   Team members will prepare, cook, and serve food / concessions quickly.

Tractor Driver: Team Members must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license. Driver’s are responsible for the safety of patrons and their children while riding on the hayride wagon. Also responsible for overseeing the safety and organization of guests waiting in line and disembarking from the hayride. Drivers should comfortable to get on and off the tractor to loading/unloading if needed.

Hayride Loader:  Team Members will load and unload wagons, assisting the guests. Loader will be wheeling the hayride steps in front of the wagons, lifting required 25+lbs. Loaders are responsible for overseeing the safety and organization of guests waiting in line and disembarking from the hayride.

School Check-In: Team Members working at admissions will need to be knowledgeable about the farm, friendly, enthusiastic, problem solvers, and guest service oriented. Duties will include answering guest questions, giving directions to different attractions, minor first aid and more. Team Members will be working directly with the teachers for field trip for check-in , collecting payment, and administering field trip instructions to teachers.

Parking Lot Attendant: Seasonal position for the month of October. These employees will welcome the guests to the farm  and be able to give polite directions, enjoy working on their own and be able to stand for long periods of time. Being knowledgeable about the farm, daily events and layout of the farm are beneficial when working in this position.
